Dr. David Byrne is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Dermatopathology and is licensed to practice in Hawaii and Indiana. He has been a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Indiana University since 1977.
Dr. Byrne earned M.S. (1962) and M.D. (1968) degrees from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque after earning a B.S. from Purdue University. He completed a surgical internship at University of Colorado and a residency at University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. For two years between his internship and residency he served as a medical officer in the U.S. Navy.
