Medical Assistant/LPN

Dermatology Receptionist

Position Overview: We are seeking a friendly and organized individual to join our team as a Receptionist. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients visiting our dermatology clinic. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and assisting with various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Reception: Welcome patients and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor. Register new patients and update existing patient information accurately in our electronic medical records system.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate patient appointments efficiently, taking into account the availability of dermatologists and patient preferences.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointments. Obtain necessary authorizations and pre-certifications for dermatological procedures as required by insurance providers.
  • Billing and Payments: Collect co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances from patients. Process payments accurately and issue receipts. Assist patients with billing inquiries as needed.
  • Medical Records Management: Maintain organized and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Ensure accurate documentation of patient information.
  • Telephone and Email Communication: Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally. Respond to patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and relay messages to dermatologists and other medical staff as necessary. Manage email correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Office Organization: Keep the reception area clean, welcoming, and organized. Monitor and replenish office supplies as needed. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education or certification in healthcare administration is preferred.

• Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role, preferably in a dermatology or healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Human Resources

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our Human Resources department on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in human resources management, particularly in payroll administration, and a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all HR functions.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the payroll process accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
• Maintain employee records, including time and attendance data, in compliance with confidentiality and privacy standards.
• Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process, including job postings, and processing new hire paperwork.
• Provide support for employee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Handle employee inquiries and provide timely and professional responses.
• Assist with various HR projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:
• Previous experience in human resources management, with a focus on payroll administration, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in payroll software and systems, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
